Robert Whitaker book launch and presentation on April 22nd

We are delighted to announce that Robert Whitaker, Pulitzer Prize finalist and author of Mad in America, will unveil his new book in New York at a Community Access event at the National Arts Club on April 22nd.

anatomy_bookcover_for_web Mr. Whitaker has received numerous awards as a journalist covering medicine and science. His works often explore the dichotomy between holistic approaches to recovery from mental illness and drug therapies.

From 1989 to 1994, Mr. Whitaker was a medical writer at the Albany Times Union newspaper. He was also a Knight Science Journalism fellow at MIT, after which he became director of publications at Harvard Medical School. Later, he co-founded CenterWatch, a publishing company that covered the pharmaceutical clinical trials industry. He has also published more than twenty short stories in literary magazines such as the Indiana Review, Black Warrior Review, Florida Review, and Columbia: A Magazine of Poetry and Prose.
