a community organization by and for persons with psychiatric diagnoses.
The mission of New York City Peer Network Group is to promote recovery, quality of life, advocacy, education, mutual support, peer-directed services, and participation in mental health policy design.
Help us decide together.
On the Third Wednesday of each month
March 19 — April 16 — May 21 — June 18 5:00-7pm
Peer Support/Self-Help Groups:
Based on new scientific theory and the Hearing Voices Network that started in England.
Join us if you hear voices others do not. Share your beliefs on what "the voices" are and learn how others experience their "auditory hallucinations."
Your experience may be unique, but you are not alone.
Maybe we can help each other.
Meets on Last Friday of each month from 3:00-5:00pm
March 28 — April 25 — May 30
This miraculous self-study book summarizes its teachings with this simple quote:
Nothing real can be threatened and nothing unreal exists. (Herein lies the peace of God.) The book is not a religion.
The student teacher of the group (Annette) has found many of the concepts helpful to her recovery and wants to learn more by sharing the ideas with others.
Bring your book, if you have one. (If there is enough interest, we’ll try to get discount copies or translations for those who do not have the Course book yet).
